Rules of the board
DesiRank is a public, real-time leaderboard. Rank is the bid in INR (₹) — nothing else.
1. How Ranking & Bids Work
- Minimum Entry: New startup listings start at ₹100. Bids are in whole Indian Rupees.
- Taking Rank #1: Must be at least ₹100 more than the current top bid.
- Taking Ranks #2 to #N: Bidding less than #1 still places you on the board at whatever spot that bid can take (at least +₹100 over that position).
- Up-bidding (Delta Payments): Enter the same website URL or @handle again to raise your rank. You only pay the difference between your new bid and your existing bid.
- Tie-Breaker: Seniority rules. Equal bids stay in the order they were placed; the older bid keeps the higher position.
2. Community Boosts & Ecosystem Support
- Micro-Boosts: On the /friends boost directory, anyone can back creators and partner projects starting at ₹49 / ₹99.
- Billboard Synchronization: Community boosts automatically add to the project's cumulative rank on the main billboard.
- Lifetime Totals: Cumulative INR boosts determine rank order.
3. Allowed Listings & Moderation
- Allowed: Startup websites, SaaS products, developer tools, open-source projects, and founder X/LinkedIn profiles.
- No Group Invites: Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord, or invite signal links are prohibited.
- No NSFW / Illegal Content: Spam, scam schemes, or illegal material will be removed immediately.
- Non-refundable: All payments are 100% non-refundable. When you get outbid, your listing slides down. Sunk cost makes the game exciting!
